A. USBI was founded in 1990 as a two-person furniture dealer. We've since grown to become a recognized leader in the office solutions industry, providing everything from furniture to space design and planning, ergonomics training and asset management. Today, USBI boasts more than $50 million in sales, employs over 80 people and has offices in Baltimore, MD and Largo, Maryland.. In 1998, the Washington Business Journal named USBI one of the "Top 25" major office retailers in the metro-D.C. area with $40 million in sales. Following the September 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon, USBI was cited by the General Services Administration for its exemplary help in responding to the disaster by building over 1800 workstations that first weekend so that the Pentagon employees could be back at their vital positions. USBI was the #1 GSA Dealer for Steelcase in 2006, 2005 and 2004. USBI
services customers in the high-technology, health care, legal and hospitality
industries; federal, state and local governments; and has a variety of
major corporate accounts. |

A. Today's office environment is changing as companies are changing the way they work. Instead of being so desk-centric, companies are becoming more collaborative and team-oriented. Office spaces and new products are being designed specifically to accommodate these changes. USBI wanted to showcase the new trends, technology and products that are driving the office of the future, so we built our own state-of-the-art facility. The Corporate Resource Center is 102,000-square-foot facility that showcases USBI's unique workspace planning methodologies. Visitors to the showroom and warehouse can experience workspace planning techniques and products used to create a customized office environment. The
Largo office is easily accessible from I-495 or via the DC Metro Largo
Town Center Station stop which is within walking distance to our facility. |

A. USBI is an Authorized Steelcase Dealer and Steelcase Quality Assurance Dealer. Steelcase is a premier designer and manufacturer of high-quality work environments, including office furniture, architectural products and related services. Steelcase has over 400 dealers throughout the United States. In 1998, Steelcase launched a new dealer authorization process with more rigorous requirements to distinguish specific dealers for their ongoing quality service and customer satisfaction. Both USBI dealerships were among the first dozen dealers to receive this distinction. Additionally,
for the past five years, USBI has been recognized for outstanding sales
