Furniture Repair Technician

SUMMARY
Position utilizes knowledge and industry standards to repair wood and metal furniture and related products.  Assist the service department with repairs at both the job site and at warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair locks and electric panels.
  • Repair chair fabric and parts.
  • Wood touch-ups.
  • Pick up and deliver of furniture.
  • Maintain repair stock.
  • File proper repair paperwork.
  • Participate in all department meetings, activities and is a supportive member of the Operations Team
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has NO supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE
ONE to TWO years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of our organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
