Accounting Position
Department: Finance

SUMMARY
Position works with the Controller to maintain the financial integrity of the organization. Position will handle or assist in variety of accounts receivable, accounts payable and invoicing functions.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

       Receivables

  • Post cash
  • Investigate shortages
  • Provide summaries to customers
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

       Payables

  • Cost verify Vendor Invoices
  • Investigate pricing discrepancies
  • Log in employee Expenses and Mobile Telephone.
  • Maintain Vendor Profiles.
  • Maintain W-9 File.
  • Issue checks daily.
  • File Vendor Invoices.
  • Assist other Finance personnel where needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

     Billing

  • Assist in entering deliveries into system
  • Run orders
  • Transmit EDI orders
  • Investigate prebilling inquiries
  • Generate Invoices
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has NO supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A.A.) from a two-year college and One years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, and draft short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence and create well organized and detailed documentation. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors or other company personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid, clean Drivers License issued by the state of current residence.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain established dress code. Maintain job safety. Exhibit initiative and willingness to learn. Maintain appropriate tools needed to perform job. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • The position requires that the candidate either directly own or lease a vehicle which he or she can legally use as transportation to and from work and to and from the bank.
  • Passing of Pre-Employment Drug Test is essential.
