Founded in 1990, U.S. Business Interiors (USBI) is a leading provider of total interior solutions, including office furniture, space design and planning, ergonomics training and asset management. The Largo, Maryland based company serves customers in the high-technology, health care, legal and hospitality industries; federal, state and local governments; and has a variety of major corporate accounts.

In the past eighteen years, USBI has grown from a two-person furniture dealer to a recognized industry leader with more than 80 employees, operating in two states and the District of Columbia and boasting more than $50 million in combined commercial and GSA sales.

Once again, for 2007, USBI is the Number 1 GSA Steelcase Dealer in the world.  With it's commitment to excellence, USBI has had this honor now each year since 2005..

In June 2004, William E. Rice, Jr. sold US Business Interiors of Arizona so that he could return to Maryland to continue to grow US Business Interiors into the the top furniture dealership in the country.

In 2003, US Business Interiors was the number 1 Details dealer in the nation.

In January 1999, USBI relocated to a new state-of-the-art Corporate Resource Center. The specially designed 102,000-square-foot facility showcases USBI's unique workspace planning methodologies. Visitors to the showroom and warehouse can experience workspace planning techniques and products used to create a customized office environment.

In 1998, the Washington Business Journal named USBI one of the "Top 25" major office retailers in the metro D.C. area with $40 million in sales. During 1999, the company anticipates a 15 to 20 percent increase in sales.

USBI is an Authorized Steelcase Dealer and Steelcase Quality Assurance Dealer. Steelcase is a premier designer and manufacturer of high-quality work environments, including office furniture, architectural products and related services. Steelcase has over 400 dealers throughout the United States. In 1998, Steelcase launched a new dealer authorization process with more rigorous requirements to distinguish specific dealers for their ongoing quality service and customer satisfaction. The USBI dealership was among the first dozen dealers to receive this distinction.

Prince George's County, Maryland also honored USBI as its "Small Business of the Year," recognizing the company's ongoing commitment to its customers and excellence in customer satisfaction.
